Toddies Play Group is a registered early learning centre where Randburg’s little ones come to play, explore and thrive. We provide early childhood care and learning for the families of our community. We know that children learn best when they feel safe, valued and free to explore. We focus on school-readiness in the broadest sense, confident, curious children who are excited to learn. We look forward to growing, learning and laughing alongside your little one.

We cater for all religious dietary needs. All our meat is supplied by a Halal registered butchery. Our nutritious meals are Health department approved.

We follow Department of Education approved curriculum.

Child care can be arranged on weekends if required.

I have a very anxious child whose socialization was deeply impacted by Covid. I sent her to Toddies in 2022. She was nervous, scared and had separation anxiety disorder. The ladies at Toddies were wonderful, providing her with love, hugs and dance parties when it called for it. Often when things got to much for her, Hendrene would take her for tea and a biscuit or she would be sitting on Teachers Jenny’s lap. They were able to read when her anxieties were playing up and help her. Teacher Hazel and Lucinda were equally as amazing. They gave my girl love and care and prepped her beautifully for big school. Also Hendrene is exceptionally accommodating for all faiths. Toddies was a blessing. Hendrene and her wonderful staff are teachers/teachers helpers because they have a calling and love what they do it is more than just a paycheck.
Toddies is such a wonderful and caring school. My daughter loved going there and still talks about it years after leaving.
Oh Toddies has been the best decision for our family! We couldn’t be happier with our experience at the creche. The teachers are caring, patient, and truly passionate about the children. My son is always excited to go in the mornings, and it’s wonderful to see how much he has grown in confidence, social skills, and learning since he started. The environment is clean, safe, and welcoming, and communication with parents is excellent. Knowing that my son is loved and well cared for while I’m at work gives me such peace of mind. I highly recommend this crèche to any parent looking for a nurturing and supportive environment for their little one.

My first child has been with this crèche since she was just 7 months old, and today she is 6 years old. There has never been a day where I doubted that she was in the best hands.
People often see them as “just” teachers, but to me they have been so much more. They have been like mothers, aunties, and sisters who have walked alongside me on my motherhood journey. They have loved, nurtured, comforted, taught, and cared for my daughter as if she were their own.

Yesterday, our daughter, Jasmine, experienced her third epileptic seizure at Toddies Play Group. We would like to express our sincere gratitude and heartfelt appreciation to Teacher Hendrene, Teacher Lucinda, and Teacher Hazel for the exceptional care, professionalism, and compassion they showed throughout the incident.
Their calm and swift response, reassuring presence, and the way they protected and comforted Jasmine during such a frightening experience meant more to our family than words can express. Knowing she was surrounded by teachers who remained composed, acted decisively, and cared for her with such kindness gave us immense comfort.
The fact that the paramedics arrived within five minutes is a testament to the school’s preparedness and the efficiency of the team’s emergency procedures.
As parents, there is no greater reassurance than knowing our child is in the hands of people who genuinely care. Thank you for going above and beyond to keep Jasmine safe and for treating her with such love, dignity, and compassion. We will always be grateful for the extraordinary care you gave our daughter.
