Heather Park, one of George’s greener suburbs, is home to Country House School, which traces its roots back to 2014, when it opened in a small wooden building under the name George Little Farm School. A Primary School was added in 2019, and the years since have brought steady, welcome growth.
Around 200 pupils, from babies as young as 6 months up to Grade 8, are currently cared for here, with additional grades planned each year going forward. The school sets out to be a genuine alternative to mainstream education, easing the pressure and stigma that can come with a conventional classroom. Surrounded by quiet countryside, the campus keeps class sizes and child-to-teacher ratios small so that every learner gets noticed and supported.
