Little Giants Nursery School takes in children from as young as six weeks old, guiding them all the way through to what’s now known as Grade 0 – a stretch the school calls the Foundation Phase, spanning up to seven years with the same children. Ten classes divide children into their own age groups, letting them form friendships early on that often carry through nursery, primary and even high school if they stay in the same area.
The school runs Monday to Friday from 06h30 to 17h45, staying open all year except during December, when it closes alongside Gauteng’s government schools. Weekends and public holidays are the only other closures; for the rest of the school holiday periods, a holiday programme keeps children engaged with a break from their usual routine.
