At Little Lulu Day Care Centre, every stage of early childhood has its own dedicated space and specialist care. The nursery, housed separately within the same building, welcomes up to 11 babies from birth to around 22 months, and is fully baby-proofed for peace of mind. Sonja, the nursery’s much-loved surrogate mom figure, has been part of the team for more than 22 years, bringing deep experience and warmth to every day, supported by her patient and caring assistant, Florence.
Once children move into pre-school, they’re taught by fully qualified staff following weekly themes, with plenty of perceptual games, puzzles, painting, pasting and playdough woven into the routine. The Grade R class stays deliberately small so each child gets individual attention, using the Letterland method alongside the CAPS syllabus to build strong numeracy and literacy foundations. Children are prepared for entry into both private and government primary schools, with an occupational therapist available for school readiness assessments, and music, singing and creative movement forming a core part of the curriculum.
