St. Martini Kindergarten is a German Christian kindergarten in Cape Town’s city centre, founded by the St. Martini community some 60 years ago, with a second campus in Wynberg. Around 130 children play and learn across our groups, cared for by qualified, German-speaking teachers who prepare them in a playful, competent way for starting at the German School in Cape Town or elsewhere. We welcome multilingual children with existing German language skills from 18 months, offering a gentle Playgroup at our Wynberg campus and groups from age 3 in the city centre. Learning should be fun, so practical, topic-related activities are part of every week, alongside extra-murals such as ballet, music and gymnastics. A fresh lunch is prepared each day through our own ‘Kochlöffel’ kitchen, with vegetarian options on request, and we happily welcome guest children of visiting or expat families.
