Sunlawns Pre-Primary School has been helping little ones in Bloemfontein flourish since 1947, making it one of the oldest kleuterskole in the Free State – and the school is proud that children who attend find a genuine second home there. Built on a Christian foundation, Sunlawns employs qualified staff who understand that children learn best through play, and its relaxed, friendly atmosphere gives every child room to develop at their own pace.
The school places real importance on raising well-rounded children, paying attention to intellectual, emotional, social, physical and spiritual growth. Children aged 2 to 5 are welcome to learn and develop according to their own ability, with half-day or full-day programmes available during school terms. The curriculum exposes kleuters to a wide variety of activities to encourage holistic development, with teachers covering maths, music, gross and fine motor skills, and creative abilities. Nine staff members currently care for roughly 85 children each day, giving them a home away from home.
