Tucked into a lush garden setting in Wierda Park, the little people’s place Nursery School has spent time since 2009 helping toddlers and preschoolers, aged 2 to 5, grow into happy, self-assured and caring children. As a non-denominational centre, it opens its doors to every race, culture, religion and background, actively teaching children to accept and respect the diversity around them.
Compliance runs deep here — registrations are held with Tshwane’s municipal authorities, the health department and the education department, under EMIS Number 700902125. One all-inclusive fee covers meals, extramural activities and holiday care, CCTV keeps watch over the premises, and the ELDA’s Curriculum guides daily learning in step with the National Curriculum Framework. A dedicated cook prepares warm meals from scratch, and staff hold training in toddler stimulation, early development, CPR, First Aid and basic firefighting. Doors stay open through school holidays, December excepted.
