How to Search and Filter Nursery Schools on Find My Nursery (Including School Networks Like Curro and Trinityhouse)
Nobody wants to scroll through pages of nursery listings that don’t match what their family actually needs. So Find My Nursery is built around proper filters, not just a name and a photo. You can search by area, by what the school offers, by whether they’re actually taking new children right now, and now, by which school group they belong to.
Here’s how search works on Find My Nursery today, including what’s new.
Start with a name or an area
The main search bar on our homepage and on the full nursery directory works two ways. Search by a school’s name if you already have one in mind, or by area, suburb or city if you’re starting from scratch. Type “Sandton” or “Glenvista” and you’ll see every listed nursery in that area.
Filter by category, availability and price
Underneath the search bar, a row of filters lets you narrow things down:
- Category: crèche (0 to 2 years), nursery (3 to 5 years), preschool, Grade R, or Montessori specifically.
- Availability: Enrolling Now, Limited Spaces, Waitlist Open, Fully Booked, or Tours Available. Each school sets this from their own dashboard, so it’s a real current status, not something someone forgot to update six months ago.
- Price range: from under R2,000 a month up to R6,000+, so you only see schools inside your actual budget.
- Network: this is the new one.
New: filter by school network (Curro, Trinityhouse, GROW ECD, Little Ashford and more)
Looking for a Curro preschool specifically? A Trinityhouse pre-primary campus? A Little Ashford nursery, or a school under the GROW ECD umbrella? You can now filter for it directly, on both the homepage and the main nursery search page. Pick the network from the dropdown and you’ll see every campus we have listed under that group, with the same fees, contact details, amenities and reviews as any other listing.
A lot of parents search by brand first. If your child is already at a Curro school and you’re relocating, or a friend recommended a specific network, you shouldn’t have to guess which of our 1,600+ listings belong to which group. Now you don’t have to.
We’re still expanding network coverage. Right now Find My Nursery has real, verified listings under Curro, Trinityhouse, Little Ashford and GROW ECD, and we’ll keep adding more as we confirm and onboard additional school groups.
Go deeper: amenities, educational philosophy and therapy support
Every school profile also carries more detail than the top-level filters show:
- Educational philosophy: Montessori, play-based, Reggio Emilia, Waldorf, Christian, HighScope, forest school, and others.
- Amenities: swimming pools, sensory gardens, CCTV, backup power, wheelchair access, outdoor learning areas, and more, over 30 specific facility types in total.
- Therapy and support services: where a school offers on-site occupational therapy, speech therapy, remedial support or similar, it’s tagged clearly on the school’s profile instead of buried somewhere in a paragraph.
This isn’t something you can filter by just yet. That’s coming, once we’ve worked through each school’s profile and built out the data properly. For now it’s there for you to read directly on every school’s page. Why this matters
Parents are asking these kinds of specific questions more often now, sometimes through Google, increasingly through voice assistants and AI tools. Real tags, real filters and data pulled straight from each school’s own dashboard mean the answer someone gets is accurate, not a guess.

Yes. Availability status, whether that’s Enrolling Now, Limited Spaces, Waitlist Open, Fully Booked or Tours Available, is set by each school directly from their own dashboard, not a static label someone forgot about.
Can I filter by amenities or educational philosophy, like Montessori or having a pool?
Not yet as a dedicated filter. That’s coming soon. Right now this information is tagged and visible directly on each school’s own profile page.
